    The purpose of this position is to support people with serious mental illness find stable housing and assist them to live independently in their own homes. As a housing support specialist, you will maintain a caseload of 15-20 people and support persons served in creating individualized housing support services.     Responsibilities

    • Collaboratively develop strengths-based employment and housing support plans with persons served
    • Provide individualized housing support services through regular meetings with persons served to work on independent living skills
    • Support persons served with budgeting, self-sufficiency planning and community integration
    • Track and document data about services provided as well as billing through electronic case management systems
    • Utilize person centered thinking, motivational interviewing and mental health symptomology to best engage with persons served
    • Travel to meet persons served and other business needs on daily basis with use of a personal vehicle required. Mileage reimbursed

    Qualifications & Benefits

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in human service field and experience working with adults with a mental health diagnosis, providing mental health services
    • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
    • Successful clearance of a DHS background check
