    The purpose of this position is to assist people with developmental disabilities to find jobs primarily in Anoka County. 

    • Support individuals with developmental disabilities consider future career options
    • Provide individualized job placement services through weekly meetings with person served to work on job seeking skills, preparing resumes and cover letters and interviewing
    • Develop customized employment plans based a person's job goals and work strengths
    • Actively cultivate competitive job opportunities with businesses and employers in the community
    • Communicate effectively with the individual’s team and employers, and vocational rehabilitation services
    • Meet one on one with job seeker, get to know each individual and help them to find work in the community
      • Support each person once they're hired to become a successful employee
      • Advocate on behalf of individual with employer regarding job accommodations
    • Responsible for maintaining a caseload while tracking and documenting a variety of information regarding services that are provided and billed for
    • Utilize company provided (new staff training) in person-centered thinking and motivational interviewing to best engage with each person you're working with

    Qualifications & Benefits


    • Background in social work, human services, human resources customer service, career consulting, or sales is a plus
    • Knowledge of supported employment field and one year of experience providing job placement/development or services for people with disabilities
    • Ability to use electronic devices for scheduling & organization (ie: basic computer skills, email, outlook, etc.)
    • Excellent communication skills
    • ACRE certification in Discovery, Customized Employment, or CESP preferred
    • Valid drivers license and compliance with Rule 11 and MVR background check required


    Starting wage: $15.50 per hour DOQ

    Medical- 90% of employee coverage premium paid by Rise. Dental. 4% matched 401(k). Life Insurance. FSA. PTO starts at 16 days a year, plus floating and paid holidays.
