    The purpose of this position is to assist the QA Manager in the planning, development, and implementation of continuous quality assurance/improvement and regulatory compliance efforts within all Rise Service Lines. The Quality Assurance Specialist will work closely with the QA Manager to identify and regularly implement procedural enhancements and quality improvement measures. This role will also ensure program compliance and conduct investigations on incidents.

    Responsibilities

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Maintain working knowledge of licensing, regulatory, and quality standards (e.g. 245D, CARF) and monitors corresponding quality indicators, measures, plans, and tracking systems.
    • Assist with periodic and annual QA and Outcome reports.
    • Manage processes for collecting and reporting person served and stakeholder satisfaction (person served and stakeholder surveys, “listening sessions”, etc.).
    • Provide leadership and oversight to the incident reporting and investigations processes. Conduct investigations in the areas of: suspected maltreatment of vulnerable adults, participant and employee grievances, emergency use of manual restraints, Ombudsman, and other incidents as assigned. 
    • Produce technical documents to help people understand and implement Rise policies, procedures and investigative reporting. 
    • Assist the QA Director in developing and overseeing a case review process to address regulatory compliance and quality.     
    • Assist the QA Director in developing and implementing practices to ensure data integrity within CareDirector or other person served database/case management system.
    • Work with the QA Director and other program managers to assist in the implementation and maintenance of Care Director. 
    • Conduct other periodic compliance and quality assurance audits as needed.
    • Review and updates policies, handbooks, and other necessary forms/paperwork as needed to ensure accuracy. 
    • Assist with training including onboarding, CareDirector, and other topics as needed.
    • Track incidents across all programs and completes analysis of trends in quarterly reports. 

     

    Qualifications & Benefits

    Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s degree plus minimum of 5 years work experience in a social services organization with experience performing compliance or QA functions
    • 245D Program Supervisor and/or Designated Coordinator experience a plus
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational and analytical skills
    • High attention to detail
    • Experience developing/documenting procedures
    • Familiarity with CARF and other regulatory standards in disability services
    • Previous experience with Care Director preferred
    • Computer skills: proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
    • Must pass DHS and other background checks as required by law and Rise, Inc.
    • A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required
