The purpose of this internship is to support Rise’s CIP Coon Rapids Supported Employment services through developing Job Club materials. Job Club in an internal weekly exploration meeting where people discover the possibilities of community employment through educational activities and learning opportunities.




  • Assist in facilitating or providing support at Job Club meetings.
  • Research and create an employment resource guide to be used in Job Club that includes:
    • Employment exploration activities and experiences that strengthen a person’s knowledge, interests and preferences about working in various community jobs.
    • Develop a guide for learning about available community employment resources
    • Develop a guide of transportation services available to people
    • Develop strategies that are person-centered and use the person’s strengths, interests, preferences, skills and abilities.
    • Resources for learning about post-secondary educational opportunities that enhance employment   
    • Schedule educational visits to community businesses to learn about various companies, products, services and employment opportunities
  • Develop Job Club brochure to be used in team meetings
  • Develop Power Points centered around career education activities to learn about specific types of occupations, job positions and work opportunities

Qualifications & Benefits


  • Strong written, oral communications and interpersonal skills needed
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and detail-oriented personality with excellent time management skills
  • Background in vocational rehabilitation, human services, recruiting or employment support services preferred
  •      Experience using Microsoft Suite



  • Learn about development services of licensed program serving people on waivers
  • Apply development knowledge into practice in non-profit environment
  • Develop relationships with sponsors, donors, families of the people we serve
  • Help drive mission of the organization
  • $500 (part-time) - $1,000 (full-time) stipend depending on commitment and qualifications

Time Commitment:

  • 20 – 40 hours per week
  • Tentative start early June
