The purpose of this position is to work directly with people with disabilities in a center-based setting.


  • Provide safe and reliable transportation for the people we serve to and from home and work sites on morning and afternoon routes in Rise vans and buses
  • Assist people in getting in and out of vehicle and to worksite/home door as needed per the individual needs of riders.
  • Complies with all Minnesota transportation laws and regulations.
  • Enforces safe ridership practices and safety laws
  • Monitors and checks all basic vehicle systems: gas, oil, light etc.
  • Presents a professional and positive image to the community – drive safely and courteously with or without passengers.
  • Conducts oneself as a positive role model for consumers in terms of appearance, socialization and teamwork

Qualifications & Benefits


  • A valid driver’s license and compliance with Rule 11 and MVR background check required
  • Must be available to work on short notice
  • Reliable, dependable and independent worker
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population
  • Must be able to work early in the morning - Some routes start as early as 5 AM



$12.75 per hour / $12.85 with Class C driver's license 


Medical- 90% of employee coverage premium paid by Rise. Dental. 4% matched 401(k). Life Insurance. FSA. PTO starts at 16 days a year, plus 2 float and 8 paid holidays.
