Direct support professionals advance the work and social skills of people with intellectual disabilities and are deaf.

  • Direct support professionals work alongside people who are deaf and have intellectual disabilities on the production floor
  • Provide supervision and training for people supported on jobs and work skills through coaching, positive reinforcement and personal example
  • Maintain quality and production levels requried by business partners
  • Daily documentation on outcomes and progress of people served with contact notes and entering of payroll into Care Director

Qualifications & Benefits


  • Degree in human service field and previous experience working with people with severe disabilities and in production preferred
  • Previous experience working with people with behavioral challenges and implementing positive approaches to behavior management
  • Previous experience with people who are deaf and/or people who use alternative communication methods
  • Fluency of American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Valid drivers license and compliance with Rule 11 and MVR background check required
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds daily
