Our Direct Support Professionals work directly with people with disabilities in a community based work setting so they can live a life filled with purpose.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support and daily coverage for people with disabilities in community based work program
  • Supervise community based work sites, ensuring quality and production levels are met as required by host business 
  • Provide training and resources to advance the work abilities of people supported
  • Provide daily coverage and supervision for people supported in multiple sites, and transportation
  • Model appropriate behavior and interactions
  • Continually inspire personal growth in the people you support by establishing and achieving personal goals and implementing person-centered practices
  • Input information into Care Director database daily
  • Provide daily am/pm transportation of persons supported in Rise vans in all weather conditions.

Qualifications & Benefits

Qualifications:

  • Hardworking, flexible and ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Patience, kindness, and organizational skills
  • Open to or experience working with people with disabilities
  • Maintain calm demeanor in handling occasional difficult situations 
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 25 pounds
  • Valid drivers license and compliance with Rule 11 and MVR background check required
  • Previous experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person!

Benefits: 

Wage: $12.50/ per hour- no evenings or weekends

Medical- 90% of employee coverage premium paid by Rise. Dental. 4% matched 401(k). Life Insurance. FSA. PTO starts at 16 days a year, plus 2 float and 8 paid holidays.
